ivie and his two fellow border patrol agents shot at six miles north of the u.s.-mexico line. ivie was killed the other two wounded. this is well-known for drug smuggling going on. they were responding to a tripped motion detector early tuesday morning when someone started shooting at them. they say the drug smugglers have the upper hand. >> they have an advantage in many cases, they are there, we are entering an area and they can easily ambush or flank our movements and they flee. >> agent ivie's body was transported to a local funeral home in arizona. an honor guard will stand watch over his body until burial. >> we just stood here in silence, you know, trying to show our respects and give him the respect that he d deserved. >> pay our respects. let the family know we care. >> i'm a little shaky, i'm emotional over this. it really did not need to happen. >> reporter: agent nicholas ivie was only 30 years old. he joined the force in 2008. he leaves behind a wife and two young daughters. as we learn more about this case we'll pass it along. back to you. jenna: rick, thank you. jon:

a really nice trailer in new mexico. here is my trailer. i live in a trailer in mexico. [laughter] this trailer has a really nice mri in it. we work with inmates to volunteer force studies and how to make them better. what we have found is that individuals to have those psychopathic traits, only about a third of all inmates will score really high on the straights. they have reduced gray matter density in these areas. this is the same area where that guy had the tumor. these individuals, control and for all the important things, they are all from pretty average environments. extremely different in terms of structure. does this go towards mitigation? how should it be used? how should this information be used to? i use it to dole out treatment. that is how i thought we would kick start this seminar. i am happy to answer any other questions. i did not do this all by myself. i had a lot of individuals who helped me with this data. this research is all funded by the national research of health, your tax dollars. thank you for your attention. i will turn over to our moderator. thank you.

manhunt along the arizona/mexico border, there's a reuters news agency report tonight that mexican authorities say they've arrested two people suspected of killing a u.s. border patrol agent in an attack that left another agent wounded. 30-year-old nicholas ivie lost his life not far from where agent brian terry was murdered back in december of 2010. that killing set off the fast and furious investigation. the feds say this was an ambush, plain and simple. and they've been searching on foot and vehicles, horseback and from the air, looking, they say, for as many as four suspects. >>> there's a large and growing health scare in the news tonight involving a common procedure for people with severe back pain. the injection of steroids. dozens of patients are now finding out their shots may have been contaminated. a report from our chief science correspondent robert bazell. >> reporter: about a million people receive steroid shots in the spine for back pain every year. several hundred patients are now receiving phone calls like this one -- >> this is cindy checking on our patients that

mexico and he is constantly barraged by what's the best way to assess i.q., especially when you have these different tests and different measures, et cetera. i.q. is one of the most well studied things in psychology. so taking a brain scan and fitting your brain along a dimension and getting a value is just a slightly different way of doing it than giving you the tests and stuff like that. so i have not obviously testified to anything like that. i just tried to give that as an example. there is an enormous literature out there that is already peer-reviewed and published on i.q. there are dozens of papers. the big question is how well can i take a single person's brain scan and with what confidence can i get a number associated with it that we would derive an i.q. those measures and ways that we do that get better every month, basically, every year we're getting more and more accurate at taking a single piece of information or complex piece of information and fitting it. to my knowledge, it hasn't been done. i am aware there are patents on estimating i.q. using brain imaging which is
